Two-Factor Authentication

I want to configure backup methods that my users can configure in case they are locked out of the site, and are not able to log in. Where do I do that?

In premium Plugin

    • Go to the miniOrange 2-Factor tab and click on the Login Settings tab.login-settings-tab

 

    • Now, Search What happens if my phone is lost, discharge or not with me feature and enable the checkbox Enable Forgot Phone to login with the backup method. Then you can choose any of the three methods as a backup.
        • KBA: With this, you have to answer three questions.
        • OTP over Email: With this, you will get an OTP on Email
        • Using Backup code: With this, you have to enter the backup code.

    • Click on Save Settings.save-settings

 

  • Now, If you lose your phone you can log in with any of these three methods.

 

How to use this feature?


Suppose, The user has miniOrange Push notification as an authentication method and the user loses his/her phone.

    • Go to your WordPress login area and enter your Username and Password. Now, Click on Forgot Phone from Two Factor Authentication login Popup.forgot-phone

 

    • You can see an alternate login method. here, we have selected KBA as an alternate Login method and click on Continue.login-via-alternet-method

 

  • Validate your account based on the selected Backup method and then you will be logged in successfully.

 

In Standard Plugin


    • Search for miniOrange 2-Factor Plugin and Click on the Login Settings tab.login-settings-tab

 

    • Now, Search What happens if my phone is lost, discharge or not with me feature, and enable the checkbox Enable Forgot Phone to login with Security Questions as a backup method.enable-forgot-phone

 

    • Click on Save Settings.save-settings

 

  • Now, If you lose your phone you can log in with Security Questions as a 2-Factor Authentication method.

How to use this feature?

    • Go to your WordPress login area and enter your Username and Password. Then the 2-Factor login pop up comes, In that Click on Forgot Phone from Two Factor Authentication login Popup.fotgot-phone

 

    • Here, we have enabled KBA (Security Questions) as an alternate Login method to enter Answers to validate the user account and click on validate.validate-kba

 

  • Now, If you lose your phone you can log in with any of these three methods.
